Colour and pattern at Decorex 2016

This was our first year showing at Decorex and we were thrilled with the response to our fabric designs. I was delighted to see interior designers really ready to embrace colour and genuinely excited to discover something bold and new.

I am please to say I did manage to escape the stand and quickly run round the exhibition on my own hunt for colour and pattern. I no doubt missed some things, but here is what caught my eye.

Don't be shy to use colour and pattern on your floor. These bold designs from PintonSonya Winner and Angie Parker certainly add impact.

Velvets were on show in abundance, I particularly like the bold colours of I&JL Brown especially when teamed with patterned velvets on the backs adding extra personality to the piece.

Some carefully chosen accessories can really make a wow with colour and that is true of these pieces from The Lacquer Company and this gorgeous paint-dripped bunny from The Wyecliffe Galleries

Marble has been a material used with great effect recently but I have never seen it dyed. These tables are by Silo Studio and I really look forward to seeing more from them in the future.

Finally my favourite textiles on show had to be Black Pop. I have long admired their bravery and they didn't disappoint on their stand.
