Story behind the design
Chance is a flamboyant and intricate pattern, full of rich colours that appear to be painted onto the fabric, merged with broad digital blurs. We were inspired by a visit to the Gerhard Richter show at Tate Modern. We have always admired his squeegee paintings and we felt compelled to make a digital version of our own. We began with a photo we took in Ipswich dock of a old column where the peeling paint revealed a multitude of rich colours.
